  1. 1912

    Founded February 12 by neighbors who saw the town needed fire protection — a horse, a hose cart, and volunteers.

  2. 1915

    When Oceanside High burned, our firehouse became the town’s schoolroom.

  3. 1920s

    A member’s loan builds the firehouse at 20 Driscoll Ave.; the company goes motorized the same year. Still member-owned today.

  4. 1933

    Renamed Woodland Engine Company No. 4 — the name we still answer to.

  5. Today

    110+ years of service. Eleven of our own have risen to Chief of Department.
